Project Coordinator Job in Croydon, Home Counties Uk

My client is currently looking to recruit a permanent project coordinator to join their busy team, the main duties and responsibilities for the position will be as follows:

Responsible for the setting up and the maintenance of project files, working in conjunction with the relevant Programme/Project Managers, ensuring that all required folders are populated and information is accessible and up-to-date.
To support Project and Programme Managers in controlling project budgets, maintain a record of spend versus forecast at project and relevant programme level.
Provide support to the Programme Managers by the timely creation of Highlight and Dashboard reports required by Sponsors and Boards.
To provide high quality communication materials to support the Change Plans needed for successful implementation.
To provide administration and organisational support to the Project Delivery team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office and projects - arranging meetings, taking minutes, dealing with project related administration.
Procure hotel accommodation, external meeting facilities, business travel and office supplies/consumables on behalf of the Project Delivery Team.
Raise purchase orders as requested
Carry out any other administrative duties as required.

High level of computer literacy including use of Word for Windows, PowerPoint and Excel with strong business administration skills. Will need to be able to prepare reports, correspondence and presentations without supervision.

A proactive, self-starter who is able to work under own initiative and have the ability to work unsupervised to meet demanding deadlines and task focused. Frequently under pressure. Flexible and adaptable with an ability to respond to changing demands/priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills and team working with excellent written/verbal communication abilities.
The ability to influence/co-ordinate to maximise the efficiency of the team.

Ability to prioritise own workload, assess the relative importance/urgency of items of correspondence and ensure effective follow up by others.

High level of personal integrity with an ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate discretion.
