Solar Electrical Systems, located in Westlake Village, CA is Southern California’s largest and most experienced solar contractor and has a rewarding opportunity a for an experienced Project Manager. This is an integral role in the process of designing and installing residential and commercial solar electrical systems.

 

Detailed Job Description:

Communicate with high profile clientele, architects and builders on a daily basis. Install quality, high volume residential and large commercial solar electric systems. The individual must be organized with evolved computer and construction management skills to plan and coordinate the company’s installation efforts. The candidate will primarily be responsible for building department packages working with CAD personnel, preparing city building and safety submittal packages, multiple project scheduling, multiple subcontracting coordination, maintaining productivity and accountability of the installation crews, This position requires a high level of detailed communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred candidate will show experience with Microsoft Office software, including Project and must possess an in-field or in-office construction management background.  Preference will be given to candidates that have electrical, roofing and/or HVAC experience as a PM.

 

Responsibilities:

 

§ Create and maintain weekly scheduling for field installation crews.  Track all installations.

§ Create and maintain project files with regular reporting to the president

§ Coordinate permit packages and project inspections for timely approval by local building authorities

§ Coordinate with sales, contracts, and CAD departments to execute all facets of project installation

§ Oversee, Manage and maintain accountability of the installation crews

§ Coordinate repair/customer service efforts by identifying, scheduling and prioritizing service response

§ Create materials lists and coordinate with warehouse staff for ordering and inventory management

§ Provide sales support for pre-bid project development and estimating           

§ Work with city and utility company inspectors to resolve issues and address changes

§ Manage 4+ residential and/or commercial projects weekly

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

§ 5 years of verifiable construction management experience

§ Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or business preferred

§ NABCEP Certification preferred

§ Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Project

§ Display working knowledge of AutoCAD

§ Estimating experience preferred
