Project Delivery Manager recruitment

 The role will work closely with the Programme lead to manage planning and delivery of workstreams.

 The role comprises the following high-level responsibilities:

• Manage a pool of development resources to serve multiple programmes of work, and coordinate with Change, Test and Workstream leads to ensure we fulfil our delivery obligations.

• Maintain oversight of workstream plans to ensure we as a team can deliver to all plans.

• Be the first point of escalation for resolution of conflicting resource requirements and other factors that threaten delivery.

• Provide direction.

• Given that the merged teams are not yet fully fungible, be a champion of cross training and other practices that enable fungibility.

• Ensure best practice is adhered to; drive consistency and process improvement.

• Own the vendor relationship with regard to delivery.

• Contribute and assist in building out strategic vision and planning. Be a trusted advocate and advisor for the business agenda.

As a senior member of the Post Trade Utilities Management Team you will form strong working relationships with others in the Management Team and contribute to continuous improvement of the operating model

Applicants will need:

• Proven track record of successful Resource Management of global technology projects, from initiation through to post-implementation support

• Knowledge and experience of project lifecycles and formal project methodologies, preferably including implementations involving vendor platforms and products

• Significant experience working within a large Global change program, ideally with some Project / Resource / Programme Management experience within investment banking.

• Successful experience of Project / Resource / Programme Management involving multiple external dependencies

• Experience of managing / operating within a globally distributed IT and/or Change team

• Demonstrable experience of working on an operational change project

This will be supported by excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build concensus across a diverse audience of business and IT
