EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:
• Minimum Four (4) years outside sales experience in Controls calling on industrial clients.
• Must have experience in oil and gas markets with rotating equipment control systems.
• Direct experience with the internal processes used by major clients in the oil and gas industry (project specification, contract procedures, TCs, etc).
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director Area Sales, Canada, this position is responsible for all Service Control sales in Canada. The Controls Product Development Manager will also take direction from the Houston Controls organization as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate Controls Sales Activity with Clients.
• Responsible for developing business opportunities that result in orders required to meet the annual operating plan (AOP).
• Leads pursuit of specific controls opportunities and follows up promptly on sales leads.
• Ensures thorough understanding of project scope and communicates the requirements clearly to the Proposal Development Team.
• Responsible for identifying project and commercial risks and assists in developing mitigation plans to ensure successful project outcome.
• Develops and implements product presentations, attends tradeshows and other business development activity.
• Facilitates the required training of Account Managers on control systems and assists the Account Managers in becoming proficient in identifying client needs for control systems.
• Leads selling strategy and Value Proposition development on each control opportunity.
• Proficient and regular user of all system tools available to the Sales Technical Support functions (e.g. CRM, CIRS, O2O).
• Coordinate controls sales activity with clients.
• Forecasting and reporting.
• Territory planning and marketing.
SALARY RANGE: $105K - $110K plus 20% bonus, vehicle, 25% travel throughout Canada.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technician (Instrumentation and Controls) with additional 2 years of experience.
EMPLOYEE TYPE: Permanent, Full Time
REQUIRED TRAVEL: Up to 25%.
