Quality International Civil Engineering Contractor with a UK turnover over £1 Billion seek to bolster their business by hiring a quality Project Director or Senior Project Manager ready to make the next step up to work on major heavy civils transportation projects due increasing workload. The Project Director will typically work on heavy civil projects with a railway interface (LUL, Cross Rail, Network rail) ranging in value from £50m - £400m, projects could include Railway Station Construction (not minor refurbs), Sub Surface Stations (top down construction) or Portals, Railway Extension projects Rail Depot New Builds.
Please note the Project Director position is to work on a major live project.
Reporting to the Operations Director the Project Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of their project - you will have full profit and loss responsibility. The Project Director will have overall control of a large Operational, Commercial, Technical and planning team. The Project Director will have responsible for Client Management and motivating the team.
Successful candidate will be a Project Director or Senior Project Manager from a heavy civils background and have worked for major civil engineering contractor and be a qualified civil engineer. You will have been totally responsible for a project at least to the value of £50m and have a track record of delivery. In addition you would have experience managing large complex multi-disciplinary projects, managing multiple interfaces including network rail LUL and successfully managed large project teams. Major Section 12 station project experience a distinct advantage. You will have excellent client management skills, superb leadership and motivational abilities
