Chevron's Africa Latin America Exploration Production is accepting online applications for the position of Project Drilling Manager - Congo River Crossing located in Houston, Texas.
Overview:
This position will provide Project Management Support in Drilling Engineering Planning / Operations.
The job will transition from Houston to Luanda/Malongo during the execution of the project.
Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Overall coordination of the Congo River Crossing Team for Phase 3,4,and 5 of the SWCPDEP project.
Work with the Houston CRC Drilling Engineering Team and Malongo Operations team to complete all Phase 3 Phase 4 deliverables documented in SASBU SWCPDEP SOPs.
Champions and delivers all aspects of Phase 5 SWCPDEP for CRC Project as per SASBU SWCPDEP SOP.
Represents CRC Drilling Team during Congo River Project Team, and Partner Interface Meetings to provide planning and operational updates as requested.
Project interface with all vendors providing unique technology, planning, and execution services required by the project.
Ensures all logistic and unique equipment requirements are resourced and delivered to support the project.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors of Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of directly related experience.
Broad experience in all aspects of drilling engineering design for directional and horizontal wells.
Ability to design extended reach / horizontal wells in an environment in soft, unstable formations.
Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline; multi-cultural environment. Able to interact effectively DC Superintendents, ETC, peers and service and contractor representatives.
History of innovation and willingness to challenge the status quo and improve performance, in a constructive way.
Demonstrates fact-based discussions and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated effectiveness in utilizing CPDEP and managing project deliverables. Familiar with Subsurface Asset Development CPDEP tools and processes.

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
