The VFRM Practice has developed proprietary financial, audit, compliance and risk managements applications in partnership with a third party firm.  We are looking for smart, inquisitive and hardworking team players who can help lead and drive these applications to the next level.  Candidates who have demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, successfully handle multiple tasks, and effectively work as part of a team are preferred.

Responsibilities:


Position Summary:  Project Employee, an entry level temporary position, will function as a compliance reviewer, who will be part of a large high profile assignment related to the recent credit crisis.  The assignment will serve as an excellent foundation for future work in mortgage banking, finance, and / or compliance.  The individual will be part of a larger team and specifically responsible for reviewing and deciphering numerous loan files as a part of pre-established testing procedures.  The results of the analysis will need to be complied into concise written summaries.  Attention to detail, good written communication skills, and general computer skills including Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat are needed.  The ability to effectively work in a larger dynamic team structure is also critical.  Candidates must be able to execute a highly accurate work product and reach conclusions that are fully supportable / grounded in the individual facts and circumstances of each loan file.  

Qualifications:


Requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other analytical discipline. Candidates should have an overall GPA of 3.2 or better. They should exhibit a working knowledge of Word/Excel, and the ability to research, including the use of the internet and other information sources. They should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.   Additional qualifications include efficient, flexible, creative problem solving skills, a high level of self motivation, ability to work effectively in teams and excellent analytical / organizational skills. They must demonstrate the willingness to work overtime and travel to client sites if and when needed.


Financial services and audit backgrounds are a significant plus.  Preference will also be given to individuals who some prior experience in mortgage finance or real estate.
