My Client is a leading global multi-industry engineering provider of technology, product innovation and strategic consulting. Our vehicle engineering capabilities extend from quick turnaround concept design and demonstrator vehicle builds, through to turnkey volume passenger car programmes, including full production design, prototype build, development and release responsibility. Our focus is on the optimum use of digital tools to deliver high quality vehicles using the latest available technologies in the quickest possible time and at lowest cost.

They are looking for a Principle Chassis Engineer based at our Leamington Spa office. The role will be to lead a team of engineers responsible for the design and release of system components. These will include mounting systems, tunables, suspension, steering and wheels/tyres. Must have technical knowledge of chassis systems along with experience of leading delivery activities.

The Role:
Technical and programme leadership of chassis project delivery
Leading a team in successful delivery of a defined set of chassis components/systems to meet targets including functional performance, quality, cost and timing
Liaison with our customers and suppliers
Ensure compliance with all standards including customer and legislative
Ensuring the team delivers Design Verification (DV) plan and quality plans including identifying all failure modes and ensure countermeasures are verified
Ensuring the team support and meet manufacturing requirements
Produce regular status reports showing status of deliverables as each programme progresses

The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience of delivering chassis engineering products from concept to production
Have proven leadership experience in leading a team or project to successfully deliver
Knowledge of chassis component attributes, servicing implications, manufacturing and assembly requirements
