Within our RD team we have a job opening for the position of:
Project Engineer Electronics
As a Project Engineer Electronics at Inalfa you are responsible for the technical development of the electrical and electronic sub assemblies of our sunroofs and roof systems. This covers motor and sunroof control unit development and the functionality of the roof system assembly. You will work inside the RD department supporting cross functional teams, who carry out projects through the whole product development cycle, from initial concept through to full production at one of our global assembly plants.
As a Project Engineer Electronics your main tasks and responsibilities are:
· Perform technical risk analysis in agreement with customer for system level product functionality and Hardware / Software specifications;
· Co-ordinate the development of the electrical and electronic sub systems by Inalfa motor and sunroof control unit suppliers in close co-operation with the purchase team;
· Ensure all electrical / electronic engineering responsible deliverables are met in compliance with customer internal company product project gateways;
· Function as a Technical liaison between our Mechanical, Process and Test engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between mechanical / electrical systems;
· Prove the product robustness and reliability through agreement of Design Validation Plans;
· Proactively support both our customer and supplier quality assurance departments to enable component and product sign off agreements for Electrical Electronic engineering issues.
What do we expect from you?
You have a finished degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering on a BsC or MSC level. Automotive experience is a plus but not always necessary. Experience in embedded software development and knowledge of ISO 15504 or CMMI quality systems is a preference. As a professional you focus on results and you are able to manage your planning and set priorities. As the automotive industry is focused on Quality you are as well. Therefore you bring good problem solving skills with a pragmatic and pro-active approach. It is important to have good communication skills in English and preferably German.
