As Multi-Site Project Engineer, you will manage engineering Keurig Packaging projects that improve delivery, quality, cost efficiency, and safety. Great communication skills are a must — as an integral member of the Project Engineering Team, you will plan and execute tactical business initiatives, and partner with cross-functional teams to provide process improvement solutions. Superior budgeting and ROI analysis skills allow you to direct internal and external resources toward the timely, on-budget installation of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Multi-Site Project Engineer will:
- Manage the installation, startup, retrofitting, and transfer of equipment into GMCR’s facilities nationwide, with focus on cost, quality, safety, and performance
- Partner with production site teams to optimize packaging cell layout, enhancing safety, ergonomics, and workflow efficiency
- Manage projects from Charter creation through AAR, including project schedule, budget, project execution, equipment layout, acceptance testing preparation and execution, and stakeholder communication
- Assess existing Keurig packaging equipment and make necessary enhancements to improve performance
- Supply daily direction to sub-contractors and in-house personnel to keep projects on track and meet established design criteria
Requirements
- The Multi-Site Project Engineer must have:
- One to five years’ experience in Engineering Project Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Coffee manufacturing knowledge (preferable)
- Lean Manufacturing background (desired)
- Experience with budgeting processes and ROI Analysis
- Experience with pneumatics and servo-motors
- Experience with manufacturing production systems
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project skills
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience
- Basic electrical, PLC, and plumbing background
- Excellent project management, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel frequently
