REPORTING TO: Head of Department

THE ROLE OF THE PROJECT ENGINEER
- To research market opportunities, make contact with prospective clients and secure enquiries and customer orders
- Keep abreast of changing customer needs and develop excellent relationships with key decision makers
- Remain informed of technical innovation and developments regarding the product range
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals to meet the customers requirements
- Support the relationship with the suppliers and sub-contractors
- Provide the business forecast of sales and margin
THE COMPANY
The Company is a market leading manufacturer of specialist electro-mechanical equipment which is used for bulk handling and storage.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OF THE PROJECT ENGINEER
The successful individual will;
- Be qualified with an HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering/Business or Project Management
- Possess technical and application knowledge in relevant products
- Previous experience in a proposal/contractual role
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for layout drawings
- The ability to work in a commercially competitive environment
- Experience of working with customers and sub-contractors
