Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering; other Engineering degrees will be considered with demonstrated Project Engineering experience. Should have experience managing multi million dollar projects.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing project management, with a strong preference for candidates with chemical industry experience.
Experience interacting with Process Engineering, Maintenance, Management, and Production personnel to provide process specifications as required to fully implement project improvements.
Maintain project control and accountability until the projects are accepted by the manufacturing group and all project goals are met.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
Job Description
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for executing capital projects and performing various engineering support for capital projects. Project engineering efforts include all facets of scope development, AR development and submittal, detailed project design, and construction supervision. This site has over $6 MM to spend on capital projects in 2012.
