Project Engineer Job in Gainesville 20155, Virginia US

Under general supervision and following established policies, performs professional project engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

Assists in the preparation of technical presentations and engineering reports in coordination with other functional areas and program office (25%).
Assists in failure and incident analyses and problem dispositions (10%).
Monitors status of engineering projects and communicates project requirements (40%).
Performs engineering analysis, producibility analysis and materials compatibility as required (25%).

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and two or more years of related product design/development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The ideal candidate will possess:
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering;
Directly applicable engineering experience in solid rocket propulsion. A Master's degree in Engineering Management or Systems Engineering is a plus.

This position may involve future relocation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U. S. Citizenship).
