We are seeking a Project Engineer for our

This position reports to the Engineering Manager within the Advanced Solutions Operational Excellence and Collaborative Manufacturing team.
Responsibilities Include:
Participation in project execution of MES type projects using Microsoft technology and other Integrated Information Systems products. The successful candidate will contribute to our business growth as a project engineer and eventually having gained the appropriate domain knowledge and experience, as a project lead engineer. He/She will be responsible to perform technical execution (which includes System, Application and integration development and testing) within the project schedule and cost budget. Customer relationship management will be an integral part of the job as well as having the capability to function independently when necessary and undertake various roles within the project team when required. Other tasks over time may include but not limited to sales support, solution design and architecture, proposal development, customer training, customer support, etc. A keen eye for opportunity growth beyond original project scope is a valued asset for this team player in this customer facing role.

Development and integration of applications to provide an automated workflow is an essential step in delivering MES business solutions in this space. SOA development practices are required in order to build applications that will become part of the MES suite.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any and all activities from conception to customer acceptance of a project. This may include requirements analysis, solution definition, proto-typing, documenting designs, configuration and implementation, factory and site acceptance testing and commissioning. Candidates will be required to learn quickly with minimal supervision, and demonstrate the necessary skills both through training and on the job experience.

Key Success Factors

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or 4 years of engineering experience in lieu of degree.
- 2 year experience working directly in or providing services to the energy, refining, petrochemical, pulp paper or mining sectors.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in Operations or customer facing Development projects is desired.
- Experience in delivering software applications for process industries desired.
- Process and/or business optimization knowledge in the refining, energy, petrochemical, pulp paper, mining and chemical sectors is definitely preferred.
- Industry knowledge coupled with the ability to solve customers’ operational and business problems is of paramount importance in this role.
- This candidate will have the right attitude to drive for success and will be customer oriented in his/her approach to delivering solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills essential.
- Strong analytical and writing skills (in English) are essential. Similar skills in a major second language is a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus.
- Project execution experience desired. Adhering to Honeywell’s global project execution methodology is a requirement.
- Hands-on experience with Honeywell’s or competing business applications is a plus.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and team working essential
- Familiar with the use of software packages including MS Office Applications, Oracle, and SQL Server and associated productivity tools.
