Project Engineer
The Project Engineer's responsibility is to manage the design and development of new products for the electric utility market as well as manage all the engineering activities related to maintaining existing products. The following is a list of the major responsibilities for this position:
1. Design product part and assembly concepts
2. Create project drawings for quotation
3. Develop product performance specifications
4. Manage prototype development
5. Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and calculations
6. Setup and operation of Aluma-Form mechanical test equipment
7. Write test reports for both internal use and for publication
8. Management of off-site contract testing
9. Technical support for Field Sales personnel
10. Review and analysis of proposed product changes
11. Mark-up, review and approval of Engineering drawing changes
Requirements:
1. BSME or equivalent
2. 4+ years of design experience
3. Experience with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks)
4. Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA)
