Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates should possess a BS in Materials Science or related field. Masters and/or PhD degree preferred. Direct mill experience, at various levels for the open positions, and knowledge in areas of vacuum melting, consumable remelting, forging, rolling, mechanical testing, or physical metallurgy of these specialty alloys will be a significant factor considered. The successful applicant must have good communication and inter-personal skills, be able to function independently and in a small team environment and possess good technical project management and problem solving skills.
Description of job duties
Positions are for hands-on Research Development Project Engineers who will be responsible for new product development, process development, problem solving and customer technical service. Projects will mainly involve working with the latest and next generation wrought Ni-base superalloys, titanium alloys and vacuum melted specialty steels at laboratory, pilot plant and full manufacturing scales. Regular interaction with business development, manufacturing, product and process engineering, other RD engineers and customers will be required.
