Project Engineer Job in Mountain Ash, Wales UK

We are currently looking for an experience Project engineer/manager to join our busy manufacturing plant in South Wales.
The purpose of the role is to deliver an efficient and effective engineering and NPI function within the organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To control new product introduction using internal AQP systems, cross-functional teams and regular project meetings.
To supply customers with timing plans and progress updates on a regular basis.
Assess component designs for feasability and advise imporvements where possible to allow more efficient productions, better quality etc.
To ensure that tool design and manufacture are to the companies specification and operate efficiently when handed over to production, producing good quality components at the required output rate.
To ensure the entire process is considered when introducing a new product. i.e tool, guages, assembly fixtures, handling packagin, quality etc.
Ensure the work is completed to the highest level at an acceptable cost and on time
Keep up to date with new technologies and techniques
Assist in internal C.I activities where required
Control and monitoring of financial issues relating to new product introduction
Any reasonable duty or request to meet the demands of a flexible working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level with several years engineering experience
Excellent communication skills
Able to thrive in a demanding manufacturing environment
Experience of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement techniques and a working knowledge of system principles, such as six sigma is extremely beneficial
Self motivated and proactive
A pragmatic approach to problem solving
Experience in an injection moulding environment.
