Project Engineer Job in Pomona 91766, California US

The candidate is involved with a variety of new product qualification projects and has the direct responsibility to ensure that everything required for successful product qualification is planned and executed in the time frame required by customer demands and/or contract commitments. Candidate will conduct lean events, coordinate lean manufacturing programs and perform risk analysis PFMEA's.

 

Certifications:

LEAN; JIT; KANBAN,SAP; ERP, SIX SIGMA

 

Experience: 3+ years of related work experience

 

Special focus of-

Manufacturing processes; scheduling,, production control, foundry environment; aerospace applications servicing major OEM's

 

 

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

• Identify requirements and needs of specific customer programs

• Work in tandem w/respective functions to ensure program needs are met

• Launch and coordinate product qualifications to ensure deadlines are met

• Coordinate internal/external meetings to identify and report program status

• Provide feedback to all program stakeholders

• Preparation of program milestones (Gantt Charts) status project plans

• Schedule and control primary work assignments based on schedule dates

• Ensure product is continually flowing and products are released/produced as per customer schedules

• Understanding of process standards and lead times

• Assist in implementation company policies and goals

•Assist with the expedite of jobs in progress by appropriate means

•Attend/participate in daily production meetings with department supervisors

•Identify the needed resources or equipment required for project completion

•Liaison among internal and external customers for product qualification

•Assist in implementation of company policies and goals

•Define project objectives and develop detailed project plans - statement of work (SOW)

•Break large or complex efforts into manageable assignments, including the proper use of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

•Use planning and scheduling work tools, including the use of the ERP system.

•Understand cost planning and estimating elements and contract management processes essential to complete project planning

•Integrate project scope, time, cost and resources plans

•Manage changes and re-plan work when necessary

•Familiar with MS Office Suite,SPC, Minitab and Six Sigma
