Job Summary: As a key member of the WEIDMANN ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY, INC. team, you will have responsibility for providing technical services for our start up papermaking and converting facility in Urbana, OH. You will be responsible for the effective use of capital by insuring that new assets will be properly designed in accordance with sound engineering principles, installed by cost effective means, and provide the benefit for which they are intended. Optimize productivity through application of technical skills in maintenance, troubleshooting and improvement of existing facilities.will be the ISO Management Representative for the Urbana facility. This manager will schedule, lead and facilitate 5S lean events and projects aligned with the business objectives of the organization. It also drives continual improvement activities within the context of the ISO registration and will coordinate continuous improvement activities with the management team while coaching employees in the daily use and implementation of lean principles.
Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
- Design layouts, foundations, anchors, piping, electrical supply, controls, etc. for installaiton of new process or machinery or revisions of existing machinery.
- Provide practical, effective solutions through analysis, design and implementation of projects in close coordination with internal customer, vendors and other resources.

Prepare cost estimates and funding requests for improvement projects.

Produce designs that will be safe, maintainable, reliable, and environmentally and legally acceptable.
- Participate and support WEIDMANN's Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety systems.

Procure equipment, installation materials, and services using evaluations to assure best value.

Plan and supervise installation of new projects coordinating process downtime, equipment deliveries, maintenance forces, contractors, and service suppliers. Assure that all activites are conducted safely and without unscheduled disruption of production.

Implement projects in a timely and efficient manner by managing projects effectively using project management tools and techniques.

Produce a permanent record of each project including drawings, manuals, part lists, etc.

Provide engineering expertise throughout the plant for solution of production problems, development of new techniques, and evaluation of existing equipment and procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. 5 plus years relative experience.
Effectively utilize computer-based applications including Microsoft Office and AutoCad. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Paper experience a plus.
