Job Description

Position Summary:    This position is to assist in the ongoing portfolio administration of MetLife’s tax equity and lease equity investments.  Analyzing and evaluating the ongoing activity of the portfolio, including credit reviews, asset valuations, and compliance issues, as well as detailed analysis of individual project and investment performance.  Interface with outside partners, lessees, consultants, administrators, accountants and independent engineers, as well as internal GAAP, tax, and legal departments.  Detailed knowledge of the asset class is necessary in order to perform the duties of this position.  Portfolio is approx $3bb. Principle Responsibilities:

* Ensure portfolio activity is carried out in accordance with the terms of the investment agreements and MetLife’s economic interest is calculated correctly so that MetLife’s anticipated investment return is maintained.

* Maintain asset valuations on approximately different assets/asset pools across power projects, aircraft, railcar/locomotive, and real estate.

*Perform detailed analysis of project investment results, including actual performance versus plan, and review of the forecasted/budgeted results.

* Perform scenario and valuation analysis on an ad hoc basis for individual investments.

* Ensure reported actual accounting and economic results accurately reflect portfolio activity.

* Assemble and analyze forecasted portfolio performance in the future.

* Support impairment process, including identification and analysis of potential impairments where appropriate.

* Liaise with I/T for portfolio subledger and pricing systems.

Job Requirements

3+ years of related project finance experience

MBA strongly preferred.

Experience in project finance preferred.

CPA or accounting background a plus
