FINANCE / PROJECT OFFICER
This well established and well know organisation is now looking for an Project Officer for a maternity cover contract. This will be a varied role and the main responsibilities will include;
· Ensuring that all month end and year end project claims and progress reports are completed accurately and on time
· Assisting with the production of monthly claims, budget reports and other management information as required;
· Maintaining and developing systems and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of routine project reporting and funding draw down.
· Documenting systems and tasks as and when required and providing training to staff to ensure they can carry out their project reporting and recording responsibilities as outlined by funders
· Assisting with the preparation of the detailed project budgets and spend profiling for all associated projects;
· Monitoring project budgets against spend and recommending solutions to address any potential budget under or overspends;
· Assisting with the preparation of the annual project reports/claims for review by management and subsequent examination by the external auditor and the DEL
· Accounting for specific allocation of monies and grants from external agencies and assisting with the preparation of claims of such funds at the end of an agreed period.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area. GCSE English (Grade A*-C) or Essential/Key Skill Level 2 (or higher) in Communication or equivalent.
- GCSE Mathematics (Grade A*-C) or Essential/Key Skill Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy or equivalent. A minimum of one year administrative experience within the last 5 years of working in a finance environment.
- A minimum of one year experience within the last 5 years of using integrated finance systems/computerised accounting package/s and Microsoft products.
- Should hold a full current driving licence which enables you to drive in Northern Ireland, and access to a car
