Project Leader for Global Regulatory Initiatives

Jordan Jordan is seeking an individual to be a strategic leader to oversee several workstreams for our client aimed at meeting regulatory reform requirements as they evolve in EMEA and AsiaPac (e.g. Hong Kong, Australia) related to sales and trading of FX OTC derivatives and all FX products impacted by upcoming regulations. The ideal candidate is London-based with a global perspective of markets reform regulation. Credentials must include prior experience in complying with previous regimes (e.g. FSA, Bank of England, etc.) for reporting, risk, trading, business conduct, etc. as well as a solid understanding of the transition to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as a result of European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

Responsibilities will include:

•Staying abreast of all regulations as they are proposed and/or finalized in EMEA that will impact FX products. Regulations may include but are not limited to: EMIR, MiFID II, Extra-territorial issues resulting from other third-country regimes, etc. (e.g. Dodd-Frank)

•Determine timelines for mandatory implementation to be in compliance

•Work with Global Steering Committee to analyze impact of regulations on client's global FX trading and operations and understand business strategy

•Coordinate with workstream leaders as well as business, operations and technology resources to identify necessary projects and develop a cohesive strategy and tactical work program to meet requirements

•Where rules are currently in place in AsiaPac (e.g. HKMA reporting) and evolving in other areas (Australia), track progress of compliance initiatives currently underway

•Network of regulatory contacts, industry peers and other industry groups to obtain information and insight into expectations for changes, timeframes for compliance, implementation issues, etc

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to work under tight timeframes

•Good organizational skills, detail oriented

•Ability to coordinate and manage business and technology resources

•AsiaPac experience also preferred

•BA/BS Degree
