The Biomedical Services Program at the AO Research Institute is seeking an Engineer as a
(1 year contract)
The position carries responsibility for various tasks in the fields of biomedical concept development and biomechanical research:
In this function you are responsible for planning and performing finite element and biomechanical studies. You will develop test setups and prototypes related to various applications, support and train visiting surgeons from the AO Community in biomechanical research and maintain general concept development processes. You also handle biological samples, material testing machines, evaluate complex test-data and write test reports as well as scientific publications.
You have a BSc/MSc in engineering or an equivalent technical education. Having research experience in the biomedical field is a plus. Experience in FE and corresponding software like Abaqus or Ansys is mandatory. Furthermore we expect knowledge of Matlab programming language and experience with material testing machines. You are characterized by having multitasking skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and a great willingness to learn. Good English skills (written and oral) are a must.
