Project Management Analyst, Private Placements (Macquarie Funds Group) recruitment

Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) is Macquarie Group's funds management business. MFG is a full-service asset manager, offering a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure and real asset management, securities investment management and structured access to funds, equity-based products and alternative assets. The group had $A324 billion in assets under management as at 30 September 2011.

MFG has the following business divisions:

Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) is a leading global alternative asset manager with over 350 professionals globally and 16 years' experience specializing in infrastructure fund management. MIRA currently manages $35 billion in client assets which includes 92 infrastructure assets in 23 countries. MIRA's Private Placement Group (PPG) is responsible for the establishment of MIRA's unlisted infrastructure and real asset funds by marketing and securing equity commitments from large institutional investors and the investment consultants who advise them.

As the infrastructure asset class continues to grow in the U.S., the group seeks a talented individual to join the MIRA Private Placement team (PPG) in New York. The role will support the project management function of the PPG team to direct and execute successful marketing plans for funds currently in the market. The candidate will be involved in all facets of the private fund capital raising process and work with colleagues from MIRA's fund teams around the world. The broad scope of responsibility will be both challenging and rewarding.

Job Requirements:

Undergraduate degree required

Minimum 2 years experience in investment banking, private equity, or alternative investment marketing

Highly motivated self starter with ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high pressure environment; strong attention to detail

Strong writing research skills in addition to data management software knowledge (including Excel and PowerPoint)

Demonstrated exceptional client service

Series 7 and 63 license preferred, or ability to obtain quickly
