Major Duties and Functions Include: Project Manager for Individual Life Product Management. Manage projects to implement new life insurance products. Responsible for overall coordination of resources, project plans, and budget for life product implementation projects. Projects range from large-scale complex product implementations to smaller product enhancements. Coordinates all phases of the project from inception through deployment. Oversees projects that span across multiple areas, functions, and/or lines of business. Serves as a liaison between the business and the IT area, translating varied business needs into to the technology teams. Oversees projects that include various phases and moderate to large sized project teams. Acts as the thought-leader, driving the team to solutions for complex and varied business objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Leads project meetings. Provides updates to business leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology. Manages the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met. Manages critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership. Performs other duties as assigned or required Supervisory Responsibilities: Leads and motivates project team members that are not direct reports that span multiple functions/LOB ??s What You Need to Succeed: 5+ years of related work experience. Bachelor ??s degree or equivalent work experience. PMP (Project Management) certification preferred, but not required. Large project management experience highly preferred. PC Proficiency Microsoft Proficiency, including Excel, Access, Word and Project required. Insurance experience preferred. This position work location preference is in Boston, MA. Can also reside in Somerset, NJ or Bloomfield, CT. Travel less than 10%. Work shouldn ??t be something you do just to make ends meet.
