This position provides the Global Service Organization with a dedicated technical Project Management specialist. The holder of this position is responsible for ensuring that comprehensive Project Management is planned and executed whenever Spacelabs' products require installation. They are expected to behave in a way likely to enhance the Company's reputation for providing 'caring, effective, long-term product support'. Compliance with all company polices, procedures and guidelines is essential at all times.
- Providing Project Management - Managing and completing projects of an unusually demanding nature in accordance with pre-agreed selection criteria.
- Providing Project Management Assistance - Providing expert assistance to the Global Organization and its' distributors when planning and completing projects of an unusually complex nature.
- Escalating Project Management Issues That Cannot Be Resolved By Field Staff - Typically to senior management, having previously established that all default arrangements have been properly adhered to.
- Handling Project Management Specific Complaints - Gathering and qualifying any data required to verify that any complaint received is legitimate and recommending an appropriate resolution plan.
- Assisting with the production of Product Service Plans - Assisting in the creation of a comprehensive plan and implementation schedule to ensure Global Service Organization and distributor readiness for the launch and ultimate withdrawal of a product.
- Maintaining Product Proficiency - Successful completion of the following levels of technical training for all products sold, as appropriate: (Level 1) Operating the equipment. (level 4) Designing and Completing an Installation.
- Establishing Default Project Management Arrangements - Establishing default Project Management arrangements, ensuring that all required training, materials and templates are deployed to all relevant staff. Working with Regional mangers to ensure that such arrangements are adhered to at all times.
- Establishing Appropriate Charging Arrangements - Establishing a commercially viable pricing model and ensuring that Spacelabs charges appropriately for all Project Management services provided.
- Creating Project Management Training Course Material - Securing or producing all training materials required to teach suitably qualified students to plan, manage and/or implement a successful project.
- Delivering Project Management Courses - Delivery of above courses as and where required.
- Other duties as required
- PMP certification.
- A recognized BS degree in a technical subject.
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Previous experience as a hospital BioMed.
- This flexi time appointment may require participation in an on-call rota.
- International and Domestic Travel may be required but will not exceed 60% per annum.
- Previous Project Management Consulting experience.
