PROJECT MANAGER – (UK GWS PMO) recruitment
Business Unit Information:
The private banking market unit within SEI seeks to partner with wealth advisory and wealth management firms to deliver services that enable the transformation of their business models.
The PMO team is responsible for the implementation of SEI’s Global Wealth Services (GWS) for new clients, (forward-thinking Independent Wealth Advisors, Private Banks and Private Client Investment Managers (PCIMS)). They also manage significant business change projects for existing clients within the context of SEI’s Global Wealth Services.
The GWS solution is a comprehensive set of services which includes the SEI Global Wealth Platform (GWP) – (the client wealth management administration platform delivered with SEI’s operational services in an outsourced environment) and SEI Asset Management Solutions (the investment management services and client advice processes that enable wealth managers to meet client goals).
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Project Management of implementation projects involving transition of clients business to GWS and transfer of the operational activities through to SEI.
- Management and ongoing support of clients in their business change initiatives and usage of GWS.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales
- Assist the technical sales in mapping out prospective clients’ business models to align them to GWS and define the implementation project approach.
- Represent the PMO team in meetings with prospective clients explaining how the team works within the context of SEI and ongoing client relationships.
Project Management
- Design and communicate an effective project plan with regards to on-boarding of the new client to the platform.
- Assist the business transformation of the firm and transfer of operational responsibilities to SEI.
- Identify and present solutions to potential issues that may arise over the project lifecycle.
- Manage a core group of people within the PMO team in the implementation project to ensure day-to-day project activities are carried out effectively to defined deadlines.
- Open communication and management of project status, potential risks and issues to the client and SEI.
- Co-ordinate internal SEI teams to ensure that successful transition of all business information onto the platform is complete in a timely and accurate manner and to ensure that SEI are operationally ready to support the new business on conversation date.
- Update and keep senior stakeholders (SEI and Client) informed of progress on client implementations. Coordinate and lead internal and joint steering committee meetings.
- Build effective client relationships during the implementation phase that will act as a strong spring board for future change projects.
- Oversight and management of all tasks associated with implementation projects
- Manage significant projects for existing clients (non-implementations)
Ongoing Management, PMO activities:
- Assist with client training and issue resolution to improve their usage of the services/applications.
- Identify future sales opportunities with clients where business needs align with SEI Services.
- Communicate ongoing client requirements to relevant internal SEI teams.
- Assist Client Relationship Manager (RM) with technical and strategic business initiatives to ensure long term requirements are consistently aligned with SEI’s future solutions.
- Maintain PMO template documentation to be in line with latest service offerings and release logic.
- Take on a leadership role within the PMO team, assisting in the career development and mentoring of team members.
Other:
• Keep current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication and alignment of these with client business practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the Operations Implementations, GWP Delivery teams and where appropriate senior stakeholders within SEI.
• Serve as a client advocate through regular, collaborative interactions with other SEI teams.
• Any other ad-hoc projects as required.

Technical Capabilities/Skills Experience Required for the Role:
- Ideally degree educated with significant Wealth Management or Private Banking industry experience. This should include a working knowledge of the industry dynamics, business strategies, products and operating platforms.
- Extensive project management experience within a financial services and/or outsourcing environment.
- Strong ability to build and maintain short and long term relationships within large-scale organisations, both internally and with clients.
- Experience managing organisational change.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proven ability to lead the assessment and redesign of business processes.
- Highly developed presentation and facilitation skills.
- The ability to be credible in communications with senior personnel.
- Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft office products and able to pick up other systems/databases easily.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
