Role Summary:

Our client is a recognized leader in the field of mine design, mine engineering, mineral process design, project management and mine construction. They specialize in Process Plant Design, Metallurgical Process Engineering, Mining Project Management, Metallurgical Consulting - Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies, Dense Media Separation, PGM Concentrators, Tailings Retreatment Plants, Diamond Processing Plants and Process Control Instrumentation Engineering. The Project Manager will liaise with clients, focus on project scope, budget and time controls, manage quality, project risk and staffing requirements to ensure excellent customer relations and successful project implementation

Generic Duties And Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will plan, organize and control projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. Emphasis is placed on working with the design office, the reporting and monitoring progress, planning and scheduling of work and manpower, construction and safety management, and project change management.

Skills Set Qualifications:

·         Effectively manage various Projects, adhering to budgets, timelines and key deliverables.

·         Manage the detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and safety of projects

·         Manage the complete project life-cycle and knowledge areas ensuring compliance with project key performance indicators

·         Provide feedback to Management and other Project Leaders

·         Adhere to budgets by following projected resource needs and determine ongoing funding priorities

·         Review technical reports and provide recommendations

·         Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.

·         Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage expenditure through the project life cycle

·         Prepare time scheduler and manage implementation through project life cycle

Education

·         Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5-10 years of project management experience

·         Registered as a P.Eng. Ontario would be advantageous

·         Minimum 5 years experience working with mineral processing plants
