Job Summary:
Dynalectric is seeking a Project Manager with Northwest experience. Must be able to run major projects, supervise offsite electricians, and develop new business opportunities within a project. Seeking seasoned candidates with a proven track record. Large-job experience required, with industrial experience preferred. Estimating experience is a necessity.

 

Duties:

Plan and organize a project. Effectively supervise staff in the day-to-day administration of a job. Establish project objectives, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statements for the field personnel. Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project and negotiate all change orders. Keep logs to track job progress and use tracking devices as required. Maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities. Monitor construction/service activities in conjunction with the on-site Foreman and Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule and within budgets.  Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision. Represent the company in project meetings. Supervise the preparation of any and all change quotations for presentation to the prime client.  Negotiate all change quotations to a conclusion. Prepare monthly costing reports and work-in-progress reports under the supervision of the Division Manager.  Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client. Review any documentation prepared by Project Coordinator before submission to others. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

 

Position reports to Division Manage and makes decisions and recommendations which can greatly affect profitability of assigned area. Makes significant independent judgments. Responsible for careful observance of policies and objectives.

Skills:

Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Computer proficiency required, especially in company estimating programs (ACCUBID, CONSTRUCT JOB) and Excel.  Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Must be committed to working in a team atmosphere. Minimum four years’ project management experience required, with a verifiable track record.  Large-job experience required, with industrial experience preferred. Must have estimating experience. Four-year college degree or equivalent preferred. Must be a business-oriented person.
