Job Description:
The Strategic Platform Management group’s model is three pronged: tactical, operational, and strategic. The Project Manager will be primarily responsible for the tactical prong, while being a consultant on the strategic side and an escalation point on the operational side. The role of the Project Manager is to identify internal process and tool limitations and make improvements on them. The role is also to plan, manage, execute, deliver, and finalize complex projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document complex analyses, business requirements, functional specifications, system process flow diagrams, and testing. They will be responsible for supporting in-house applications used by the company globally that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, and will be expected to have a high level of autonomy in performing day-to-day functions. The ideal candidates for this position will be proactive, assertive, self starters who are comfortable presenting to large audiences.
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma
- 5+ years direct work experience in a business analyst and/or project management role.
- 3+ years experience eliciting project objectives and translating into requirements in technology environment with demonstrated ability to document requirements (including use cases) effectively
- Expertise/demonstrated leadership in requirements elicitation, schedule estimation, project quality management, complex business issue analysis and/or system migration analysis
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Quickly understands business/technical issues facing project, can frame effectively for management, and identify possible remediation/solutions.
- Excellent presentation skills with ability to lead/manage complex requirement gathering workshops.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Visio)
- Experience in software process life cycle design and implementation in an unstructured environment
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under [INVALID-WORD]nt time constraints
- Team player with the willingness to take direction/constructive criticism from management.
- Exhibits professional and positive attitude, while being diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Aptitude to manage and influence without direct authority.
- Shows flexibility in the types of formats they use and how they deal with other people.
- Working knowledge of PERL, JAVA, SQL is a plus
- Financial industry experience is a plus
- Certification as IIBA, PMP, or Prince2 is a plus
