Project Manager – Precision/Transportation Management
This position is located in Downers Grove, Illinois but may be virtual for the right candidate.
The Project Manager (PM) will be expected to play a major role in shaping the Precision offering and to be an evangelist for the solution with prospects, customers and within our own organization. In this role, the PM will carry overall responsibility for projects, including quality, profitability, customer service, scheduling and allocation of resources.
The PM will be expected to keep abreast of regulations, market trends, and competitors and provide input into the PRECISION product direction and the overall Precision offering. This role will be expected to work closely with the Precision Sales team in securing new business. This will involve responding to RFI’s / RFP’s, giving presentations (both remotely and on site), providing software demonstrations and convincing the potential customer of the value of the PRECISION solution.
The manager will work with team to identify and understand regulatory changes and the impact that they may have on the content provided. The PM will act as an advisor to that team. PM will partner with the marketing team to produce Sales Sheets, Brochures, News Items, White-papers, Webinars etc. and to present at Webinars, Trade Shows, User Group Meetings etc.
Some day to day responsibilities will include:
Management and leadership of IT implementation projects, providing expert input to project development and project implementation, coaching and developing members of project teams, managing client liaison and customer expectations, defining project requirements, monitoring project progress against targets, and take corrective actions if appropriate. Additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Education/Licenses: Business related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, MBA is optional but preferred, not required.
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience of working in ERP implementation, additional experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Computer skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with ERP Supply Chain solutions. Experience of working with TMS, ERP and/or WMS applications
- Other knowledge or skills: Excellent written and verbal skills, accomplished Presenter, familiarity with OnDemand solutions would be a bonus.
