Full Job Description
A global leader in the oil industry, and major constituent of the FTSE 100, are seeking the addition of a high calibre individual in the role of Project Manager to secure the delivery and set up of an international new finance team.
This specific project requires a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA ideally from the Big 4) with a strong knowledge of the upstream oil and gas sector to support this project from initiation through to go live at multiple locations around the globe. The role has come about in line with the significant growth that has occurred of late within the business.
The senior Finance community have identified a potential 30 initiatives over the next 2 years to ensure that the finance function is able to continue to support the significant growth within the business and a SAP implementation. The Project Manager will be required to support the Programme Manager in a newly recruited team to deliver a proportion of the 30 potential initiatives.
This is a varied role that will give you exposure to all parts of a major blue chip. You will ensure that all assigned Project initiatives are delivered to the highest quality in line with pre-determined time lines and budgets and all risks and issues identified.
With first class interpersonal skills, you will exhibit the ability to manage and drive change, with high levels of commerical savvy, so as to influence multi stakeholders globally. An ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously is required and you will ensure all project logs are kept up to date and that a robust project status tracking methodology is adhered to.
You will effectively manage the project team to ensure successful implementations and project markers are met and communicated.
