Robert Half Technology are working with this multinational marketing company which operates in 50 countries across the Americas, Australasia, Asia and Europe and employs over 350 staff, to identify a talented Project Manager. The firm has enjoyed impressive sales profit growth since its inception - achieving 42% revenue growth in the last 2 years, both at the local and global level! Global revenues have exceeded 500 million Euros, the firm is privately owned is financially extremely sound. The company has implemented over 5,000 marketing programmes with many of the world's major retailers and leading petrol companies. This exciting opportunities have arisen due to aggressive growth forecast expansion of the technology organisation by 50%.

The Role

IT Project Manager - Leading Multinational Marketing Company, West London

A leading multinational marketing company has initiated a broad range of technology programmes across the globe, led from their UK operations. As a result, a high-calibre Project Manager is being sought to align to specific work streams and deliver components, infrastructure, process change within the firm. The Project Manager will engage with a broad range senior stakeholders in the business and work to plan, prioritise the work of analysis, development, and testing resources in multiple locations in the organisations and within vendors. The Project Manager has accountability for end to end delivery of the projects within the portfolio throughout each of the project lifecycles, taking the delivery from initiation through to release management into the production environment.

Key experience required:
-IT project management through the entire project lifecycle with experience of work estimation, planning, delivery / execution, and reporting
-Experience of delivering in complex, international organisations with geographically dispersed business stakeholders to successfully manage their expectations either within a blue-chip organisation, high growth creative / marketing business, professional services firm, or management consultancy.
-Used to undertaking project management in a rapidly evolving environment structure where priorities workload are fluid, internal IT resources are on offshore with third party suppliers whose resources will also be on offshore
-Content knowledge within the creative / marketing sector is desirable

This post requires a high degree of planning to ensure that the high volume of user requests and queries are effectively and efficiently managed. A significant proportion of the workload will be generated by unforeseen problems that may severely impact the business, by aggressive growth across global offices / lines of business, or the update improvement of the existing state. The team members should have strong client facing skills, a degree in a computing related discipline would be an advantage or relevant equivalent experience (e.g. Prince 2 / PMP), along with the ability to step outside of a formal methodology when the circumstances require.

The successful Project Manager will have demonstrable experience in an IT organisation supporting infrastructure specific, broader projects. They will be a highly motivated self starter, able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and committed to self-development. They should be a team player, have a pro-active approach to producing quality, be able to communicate clearly and tactfully with all levels of staff in a pressurised environment. The Project Manager must be well organised practical with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving. They should pay close attention to detail, be able to manage conflicting priorities in an effective professional manner, display a responsible attitude to following procedures, relationship vendor management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable to a highly dynamic environment in which constant project requests across a diverse array of areas of the business / client projects crop up - often highly specialised in nature requiring appropriate solution provider engagement.

Technologies used within the firm's IT estate include: HP/Compaq, Nexsan, NetApp, Juniper, Buffalo, Cisco, Barracuda Spam Firewall, Checkpoint firewall, Polycom VSX7000 and HDX, CMA desktop. Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Microsoft SQL, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, VMware ESX 3.5, Active Directory, Windows 2003 / 2008 Server, Windows XP and 7, Blackberry Enterprise 5, Cognos 8, JDEdwards, SharePoint WorkSpace 2010. The firm are keen to identify a Project Manager with knowledge some of the following areas: Microsoft (Exchange 2010 / Active Directory / SQL Server / Windows 7/8 / Office 2010), virtualization (vSphere 4/5), cloud technology (Storage / Collaboration), mobile devices, emerging technologies. Another key requirement is being able to work both alone, and showing initiative and part of a bigger team incorporating the Regional Managers and the support team. It is critical this hire has the ability to engage with the business and convey what they say into a technical solution.

The more experience with diverse projects the better, however, there are no mandatory requirements in terms of projects delivered, so long as the Project Manager has a strong technical background can demonstrate a history of successful delivery. The client are open to industry background / market sector.

Salary Benefits
£50,000-£70,000/Annum + Benefits Package
