Project Manager
A leading Business Information based Solutions company providing 400+ global institutions, corporations and professional services firms is currently seeking a Project Manager to provide maternity cover and work on client projects. This is a very important role reporting to the VP of Project Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects for individual clients and content partners.
Our client provides configurable cloud based software applications that facilitates information management workflow for our clients. In addition to a configurable suite of robust applications, our client provides a single point of access to more than 200 commercial business databases via two e-Commerce platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Working with the sales, clients, and content partners to document business requirements, create project specifications and develop statements of work
- Delivering pre-sales support attending prospect meetings with sales
- Creating project plans and coordinating with the clients development team to ensure the successful implementation of the project
- Facilitate regular communication with the customer during the project. Ensure the relevant sales team, development and management are kept informed as to the progress and issues associated with the project
- Coordinating software releases into production and creation of support documentation for customer service
- Analyse any bugs or data issues with existing client applications that customer service are unable to resolve. Escalate issues to appropriate internal groups to resolve the problem.
- Working across both US and UK time zones.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Recent 'hands on' project management experience within a technical or software environment
- Demonstrate experience with end to end project cycle from gathering business requirements through quality assurance
- Possess experience of production of project documentation
- Worked in an environment where you have had to interface directly with external clients
- Knowledge of financial and/or business information
- Possesses an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of the regulatory compliance, risk and reference data market would be an advantage
- The ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders
- Graduate or project management qualified
