Project Manager
Description - The role will require the successful candidate to create an efficient and sustainable business process for the handling of payments from invoice creation to cash application across the organisation. This is needed because there has been significant business growth, which has led to a multitude of disparate financial processes and systems. As a result, the core payments and settlement processes and systems have not been upgraded to meet the growth demands of the business.
My client is therefore looking for a contractor with subject matter expertise in this area to come in and deliver a system that will bring scalability and efficiency to the settlements platform.
The chosen candidate will join the project at the beginning of the program to roll the platform out across a multitude of global locations using a phased approach. Some of the locations that this platform will be rolled out across include the USA, Singapore, Switzerland and London. Once the Gas and Power implementation is completed there will be a need to roll the platform out across the other asset classes.
The role will require the contractor to have strong cash management and cash forecasting experience to understand the complexity of the settlement system being rolled out. Typical trading volumes could be as high as $300m a day that need to settled.
If you are an experienced Project Manager who has a demonstrable background working with large and complex trade settlements systems with an Accountancy background then this could be the right role for you.
Candidate Requirements -
- Demonstrable track record of working as a Project Manager within a complex technology environment;
- Qualified accountant – finance credibility is key in this role, with a strong understanding of accounting processes, policies and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Process Engineering background
