Project Manager - Payments Processing
Global banking leader has been making great strides in it's corporate banking payments services technology function and has implemented several game changing initiatives. As part of this continued investment in improving its technology offering, they are seeking an ambitious project manager who can bring their expertise to the payments systems space.
Within the Application Delivery function, the Project Manager will be delivering across a range of releases in the payments processing domain.
Major payment system releases typically comprise of software and configuration changes across a large number of systems delivered by multiple internal and external supply chains. Ensuring the timely, co-ordinated and quality delivery of all software changes from the supply chain successfully into testing is the key accountability of the Application Delivery Manager.
Key activities include:-
- Ensuring all inputs to the software supply chain (requirements and design) are available in a timely manner
- Working with the software supply chain to plan and co-ordinate delivery, manage risks, track delivery, and to address delivery issues
- Working closely with other project leads to co-ordinate and integrate plans.
- Planning the delivery of software into test (in conjunction with test managers) and resolving issues associated getting the software working in test.
- Managing stakeholders, keeping them informed of plans, progress and issues / actions.
The Application Delivery Manager is a key member of the wider project delivery management leadership team, contributing to the overall management and control of the project and deputising for the project manager as required.
Qualifications Required
- Background in software development management.
- Strong IT project management skills and experience.
- Experience of successfully delivering high value, high criticality application developments (£1m-3m+) relating to transaction processing systems.
- Detailed understanding of the software development lifecycle and associated roles and responsibilities.
- Experience of payments processing systems
- Prince 2 / PMI certification
