About the role
Macquarie Leasing is one of Australia's premier commercial financing businesses. Continual investment in sophisticated, leading edge technology, has contributed to their market leading position. To capitalise on that position, Macquarie Leasing is planning a further program of work and is looking for a Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. As an integral part of the Project team you will be responsible for:
- Defining new projects, including functional scope, process and system impact analysis, resource planning, financials, governance models, etc
- Managing projects end-to-end from the proposal / concept phase to implementation across the business as well as IT.
- Project management activities include progress management, risk and issues management, resource tracking, financials tracking, stakeholder management, and associated status reporting
- Working closely with IT to ensure the systems solution is in line with business needs and strategic growth
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management practices in the team, including mentoring team members, and creation and use of tools to assist project management
About you
You will be an experienced Project Manager who has experience across all phases of the software development life cycle and experience of managing business related change. You will have a hands-on track record of successfully delivering medium-sized projects in a financial services environment (Asset Finance or Lending is preferred).
You're enthusiastic and inquisitive nature, ability to manage stakeholders and high attention to detail will be the key to your success in this role. You will also have:
- Experience with systems and processes used for automotive finance/ equipment finance/ consumer finance (desirable)
- Experience in data analytics and / or credit solutions (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to both business and IT staff at all levels from senior executive to professional level
- Ability to lead a team
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, including both business and IT, and up to senior executive management
- Strong problem solving aptitude, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise these effectively
- Working to a deadline and handling pressure
