Project Manager
The Conduct Compliance team is currently involved in a number of very large and visible change initiatives and HSBC are looking for a Project Manager who can influence global stakeholder groups. The role involves working closely with the Global Head Conduct in various aspects of management and reporting. We are looking for a Project Manager who has the ability to execute the role with a level of autonomy while being mindful of when to seek guidance and approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Create support core PMO processes (reporting, risks issues, change management, planning and dependency management) within the Conduct Programme and other Regulatory Compliance Initiatives part of its Transformation Programme.
- Leverage project data to create MI for use by the senior leadership team.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc senior executive reports that may be presented to all levels of the organisation, up to the CEO Chair.
- Provide guidance and create tools to produce MI for the senior leadership team on the progress of the Programme
- Support the business management of the function, creating processes maps if needed and managing reporting.
- Create high quality documentation for the global organisation- business cases, terms of reference
- Enforce HSBC Project management methodology, creation of detailed execution plans and formulation of roadmap
Knowledge Experience
- Understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
- Very strong knowledge of the external environment –regulatory, political, competitors etc.
- Knowledge of Conduct Risk Management as defined by the FCA
- Excellent knowledge of Banking operations, business process re-engineering or change management
- Financial acumen (ability to develop business case, ability to budget, analyse, track project financials).
- Strong conceptual skills (business models, organizational design) and analytical skills (business performance, market competitive dynamics).
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for investments and alternatives in the language of business.
- Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills.
- Analytical and good with numbers. Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent English written verbal communication skills, other languages an advantage.
