Project Manager

Leadership of client Reference Data Service adoption projects, reporting to the local director, with the aims:
Support the Consumer Adoption (internal clients) onto the global Client Reference Data Service
Support the creation and documentation of a Data Management strategy to maximize the potential for sharing data within the organization and reducing costs and associated risks of data storage and processing
Operationally support the implementation of product and system-wide solutions to achieve global/regional consistency and best practice
Engage in data reviews and remediation exercises with SMEs both onshore and offshore.
Define business requirements and controls required for adoption
Guide the technology selection and platform design in association with Global Technology partners
Optimize cRDS / Consumer supporting processes and structure to meet with the ongoing demands of the consumers
Minimize Risk, Optimize Control and Reduce cost

Implement project governance structure and PMO structure which is responsible for:
Create regional and global project plans; monitor and update the project plan as and when progress is made. Plan the programme in a manner that delivers the component project outputs as and when needed to support the intended value of the business case and have a broad awareness of dependencies that could impact value realisation, and engage with relevant counterparts to ensure dependencies don’t jeopardize committed business benefits
Ensure that programme relevant risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits and other related artefacts are documented and tracked
Prepare required project documentation, ensuring relevant and appropriate analysis gets performed, shaped in appropriate management information and presented to the relevant governance bodies and steering board
Ensure an appropriate programme steering group is in place and report into that group on a regular basis with risk and dependency status, and recommendations on any required decisions
Engage on a regular basis with the sponsor and stakeholders and ensure broad awareness, engagement, and communication
Advises strategic projects and requestors on options and the process
Ensure the programme and associated business case are scoped, initiated and approved according to required procedures
Business and Other Stakeholder Management:
Define SLAs and Quality targets to achieve a cohesive service and relationship with the business.
Chair business consumer and stakeholder forums
Serve as an advisor and principal contact for stakeholder relationships
Ensure the consumers strategic aspirations and project requirements are understood and identify the subsequent impact
People Management:
Creates an environment where people management and development is the number one priority. Empowers, manages, coaches and mentors direct reports and others in the organisation
Actively communicates and cascades the GTO strategy, plans and values at all levels in the organisation driving a high performance culture, enabling effective navigation of the organisation, and supporting efficient decision making
Drives the achievement of high performance through effective career management of direct reports, providing equitable opportunities, supporting succession planning and talent management processes to ensure continuous development of people capability delivery of results
Acts as a management role model, communicating SMART business driven objectives at the beginning of the year, ensuring every team member has regular, continuous and constructive performance reviews, encouraging career development, nurturing talent and fostering diversity
Proactively manages tough people decisions to ensure people performance is aligned with organisation imperatives and needs. Addresses individual performance issues, where necessary, to drive for high performance

Experience Required:

Evidence of awareness of regulatory change affecting the banking sector and the demands on reference data and client onboarding services and infrastructure as a result
Evidence of definition and implementation of a reference data target operating model in a similar organisation
Experience of Re-engineering initiatives, business architecture, standardisation of global control processes and management information frameworks
Implementation of data reconciliation and matching solutions (Siperian or other)
Experience of data quality initiatives within the Financial Services organisation
