Job Description:

Are you glass professional who knows NYC ? Do you have expertise with High End Commercial Residential Glazing ? If so, keep reading.

We are looking for a person with hands on field experience that can manage the bid/estimating process; perform takeoffs, pricing procurement (inclusive of buying the project), communicate with Draftsmen on Shop Drawings and assist with the project management responsibilities of ensuring fabrication and procurement for the job is in process and assist in the field as needed for the New Installation projects. Additionally an intermediate level of Computer experience is necessary, from Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and basic understanding of the Estimating to Award process using electronic systems, in addition to preparing documentation such as A1A, RFI's and etc.

What you need for this position:

- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience bidding commercial construction Glass/Glazing Exterior Interior projects in NYC
- Must have experience estimating and installing custom shower enclosures, aluminum storefronts, glass railing systems, curtain wall framing, and mirror walls and windows.
- Glass / Glazing project management (field) experience in Glass Repair Replacement, New Construction and Fabrication required
- Must be able to read plans, possess strong communication skills and be highly organized
- Must perform well in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment
- Self-Starter, with Strong technical, communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Accounting and Excel) necessary

- Estimating: Able to read and interpret blue prints, and manage the estimating process, inclusive of itemized take offs, proposal preparation, bid document coordination, client communication.
- Project Management: field measurements, scheduling, shop drawing review with draftsman, attend meetings, purchasing, client coordination and submittals
