(This is a 12 month contract and the position will be filled in (Charlotte, NC))
Role Description:
Strong Senior Project Manager with project management experience in the data center open systems infrastructure area:
The project is intending to remediate Client's servers managed by the Server Delivery Team into baseline compliance to meet go forward for other Client's OS Security Baseline Policies. Remediation will focus on a baseline of LWB SDT managed servers.
The project approach will include all servers in scope for the project in the baseline. Plans will be implemented to bring servers into compliance with go forward Client's policy.
Options are to either:
1) Modify server configuration settings to remove the issue through this project, or
2) Provide documentation and approval for any necessary exceptions (including decommissions)
A successful PM for this role will have:
Strict alignment with PM methodology- document management, change control, risks/issues documentation, etc.; strong and proven capabilities across all phases of project management
Follow-through with a sense of urgency
Ability to get things done and escalate in a timely and effective manner
Track record of success in large, enterprise-wide, politically sensitive initiatives
Experience working effective with Audit and Compliance team members
Capable of doing management level reporting, performing quality assurance on own work
Skilled in use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project; note that this in-process project involves a significant amount of tracking and analysis in Excel that the PM will have ownership of Demonstrated sense of urgency
Project experience with multiple interdependencies with other concurrent projects
Proven ability to manage across multiple business unit lines and boundaries;
Ability to accommodate many ideas and drive to design, decision and closure;
Proven ability to influence others to action rapidly;
PMP preferred.
Responsible for the following Project Management Documentation:
Project Definition Document, Project Budget Forecast, Project Funding Presentation, Project Statement of Work, Project Issues Management and Log, Project Risk Management and Log, Weekly Project Status Reporting, Monthly Budget Variance Reporting, Project Business Requirements, Project Design Documentation, Project Testing Approach, Project Implementation Plan, Project Readiness Review and Project Implementation Review.
