PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Together we build large, complex projects in both the public and private sectors including water and wastewater treatment, federal/military, commercial, and institutional. We are currently investing in Project Managers.  The person(s) hired must have experience on water and wastewater treatment projects. Some of this work may be in locations across the country. The candidate must also be willing to travel or potentially relocate to project sites.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

·         BS in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.

·         Comfortable working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 especially Word, Excel and Outlook.

·         Knowledge of Oracle/Primavera P6 scheduling software and/or Sage/Timberline Office software helpful.

·         5+ years of experience as a Project Manager

·         Leadership skills such as collaboration; team building; communication; and strong conflict management and negotiation skills.

·         Willingness to take responsibility for job performance

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Read and understand project plans and specifications.

·         Prepare detailed scopes, negotiate and write Subcontracts and Purchase Orders for jobs.

·         Develop and implement the project schedule for all aspects of work including the work of each trade and update the project schedule regularly.

·         Manage the submittal process including preliminary review of submitted materials.

·         Prepare any and all documentation required by the job owner – i.e. logs, forms, meeting minutes, etc.

·         Identify, give proper notification, prepare and coordinate Owner Change Orders

·         Run weekly project meetings with subs, suppliers and owner reps.

·         Plan and schedule self- performed labor operations, prepare weekly Labor Projection Reports

·         Represent our company professionally at meetings and in negotiations.

·         Adhere to the policies and procedures established by the company, especially with regards to safety on the job.

·         Working knowledge of the requirements of all trades.
