Project Manager

Some travel to Texas may be required....This position is responsible for developing the marketing and communication strategy to support the State of Texas account (ERS) and drive member acquisition and retention. The key components of the role is to support the strategy, coordinating the delivery of multiple projects, creative development and execution of member/prospective open enrollment communication, member welcome materials, coordination of print vendor resources, support site content management, and any other member-facing marketing communication required to support new product or program launches. This manager works with internal and external partners; i.e. creative team, agency partners, product team and the sales team to develop marketing programs and materials that successfully position and market the companies products and services to State of Texas employees. This manager is responsible for project management, budget management (cost estimates, final budget compilation), forecasting and program assessment.

This individual works with internal partners (State of Texas account team, Public Sector marketing team, Product and Consumer Acquisition Retention counterparts) as well as external print vendor partners to assess and identify needs and requirements to form the marketing plan.

Job Scope

- Develop annual strategy for Consumer/Member marketing support for the State of Texas account and gain buy-in from internal constituents

- Set direction and manage development of concept, creative design and content for all consumer/member-facing companies materials.

- Create and manage project plans for assigned initiatives.

- Coordinate approvals of all materials according to Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) requirements, maintaining appropriate process and files.

- Ensure timely communication of plans and distribution of materials to all internal and external (ERS Communications Manager) partners.

- Have deep knowledge of State of Texas contract, applicable programs/product offerings, and requirements related to marketing and communications.

- Develop customized materials, incorporating ERS brand as needed, and resources to support member education, retention, and growth in the State of Texas account.

- Work across work groups to coordinate campaigns and communication calendars

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications. Minimum 5 years relevant experience: advertising/marketing agency, product marketing, journalism, and/or communications.

- Able to develop compelling marketing messages for a consumer audience. Must be adept at producing high-quality copy for multiple audiences and be flexible and collaborative in the face of multiple priorities and aggressive timelines.

- Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

- Excellent project management skills and managing multiple deliverables.

- Able to develop and maintain positive relationships that enhance performance of the Public Sector marketing team, establishes trust and credibility in a matrix organization
