About the Corporate Development team

The Corporate Development division reports to the CFO of the Group.

The Corporate Development division is split into 2 regional teams. First one, based in Europe, covers Europe, America and AME and consists of the Head of Corporate Development, 2 project directors and 3 project managers. Second one, based in Singapore with an office in Shanghai, is covering Asia Pacific and consists of the Director for the APAC zone and 2 project managers.

The Corporate Development team is responsible for a large number of transactions, (on average, around 35 project is ongoing at the same time, ranging from start-ups, negotiating partnerships, acquisitions to disposals) of which around 10 is completed on a yearly basis.

About the role:

Title:                 Project Manager
Reporting to:      Director of the APAC team
Location:           Singapore

• Assist the Director of the APAC zone in the multiple MA projects for the group, with a high degree of autonomy for the small and medium sized transactions, and working closely with the Director of the APAC zone on large transactions
• Analyze and execute the MA transactions in cooperation with the relevant business divisions under the supervision of the Director of the APAC zone
• Project management from the initial phase to the closing of the transaction
• Report project development on a regular basis to the Director of the APAC zone
• Present project analysis and transaction structure to the Director of the APAC zone, the Head of the Corporate Development or the Group CFO

Responsibilities:

• Understand the industry
• Organize and coordinate the due diligence process
• Structure the projects from a legal and fiscal point of view
• In charge of valuation and modeling of the project in coordination with the business units
• Participating / leading negotiations with the targets and partners
• Development of integration plans
• Close cooperation with the business units to ensure operational success
• Coordinating with technical experts both internally and externally (bankers, audit firms, legal departments, HR etc.)

Requirement:

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or management
• CPA or CFA or similar professional qualification
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin
• At least 8 years of relevant MA working experiences in Asia (including China)
• Ideally, the candidate has also an operational finance experience
• Overseas working experiences or multinational corporation working experiences
• Sound technical skills in accounting, tax and deal structuring
• Strong knowledge in valuation and financial modeling
• Autonomous and self motivated
• Analytical and structured with Strong communication skills
• Reliable and accurate
• Strong negotiation skills and Strategic thinking
• Willing to travel (within Asia-pacific)
