Project Manager / Business Analyst – Front to Back, Cross Product
Our tier one investment banking client are currently recruiting for a hybrid project manager/business analyst to join one of the fastest growing and exciting divisions in the organisation
The programme service acts as an effective internal consultancy function to the Corporate and investment bank and is responsible for the delivery of business critical, cross functional technology portfolios, programs and projects. The service has grown to 40 people in under a year and they are now looking to strengthen the team with top talent in order to meet the demand for their service internally.
It's a genuinely exciting opportunity for an individual who is as passionate about delivery of successful projects and programs as they are passionate about the detail to which they are delivered from an analysis perspective.
It's an all encompassing role that will suit strong delivery focussed people with excellent communication skills. You will be delivering work on cross-product, front to back processing flows across 3 project types: New products/New business, regulatory and global platform reengineering
Some of your core duties will include:
- Define business requirements and functional specifications across front-to-back trade processing flows in a custom development environment, ie Trading Sales, Operations, Product Control, Financial Reporting, Credit Market Risk, Compliance, Legal
- Articulate the requirements definition process: develop a detailed understanding of the front to back business flows and trace requirements, identifying gaps, issues and required changes
- Lead the definition of new functions, or significant changes to existing functions, in an ambiguous environment
- Understand impact on current processes and define the implementation approach by business area, including the transition during go-live
- Define test strategies, conversion and migration plans
- Scope and plan multi-year initiatives, effectively anticipate and mitigate risks, and effectively manage stakeholders in the project and organizational context
- Think strategically as a functional architect, define architecture vision and adherence to it in delivery

- Proven business and functional analysis skills
- In depth project management experience
- Significant level of experience in the project life cycle including business analysis, functional specification, risk management implementation
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives across organizational boundaries in a dynamic environment
- Is passionate about providing innovative technology solutions to solve complex business problems in the context of a strategic commercial framework
- Demonstrate leadership through organizational impact influence
- Proven ability to effectively communicate upwards, horizontally, and downwards across Infrastructure teams
- Acquired depth in more than one capital markets subject domain (eg, trade processing) with a leading institution or in a consultancy role
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of hybrid BA/PMs and develop the future generation of leaders
