PROJECT MANAGER – BUSINESS DATA WORKSTREAM LONDON recruitment
A top tier bank requires a lead business analyst to work on a number of regulatory changes being bought into the market. The recent unprecedented wave of global banking regulation brings with it the requirement for impacted institutions to rapidly distil and interpret a raft of rules.
While a regulatory response framework continues to take shape within the Markets Division, the in place delivery focused programs and projects require immediate and dedicated support. The anticipated compliance timeframes, particularly those relating to Dodd Frank Title VII, and the likely delivery lead times, when combined with the business consequences of non compliance provide a significant incentive.
We are therefore looking to bring in an experienced professional who is capable of addressing the immediate business requirements. It is anticipated that such individual would also assist in building the core knowledge and experience of existing resources.
Requirements:
The Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Manages the day-to-day duties of a group of Business Analysts, through typical planning, reporting, and resource allocation activities.
- Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to secure business requirements
- Collaborates with peer Technology Groups (specifically Development QA) to ensure delivery of products in committed timeframes
- Ensures that all projects are delivered on time and on schedule
- Assist Project Manager to resolve issues, design and implement solutions
- Providing regular project updates to Project Manager
- Stand in for Project Manager as required.
- Represent COO in various internal and external working groups, focusing on industry direction and proposing solutions
- Documenting current business processes / architecture
- Gathering business requirements completing an impact assessment
- Working with business design and IT to produce target state solution alternatives and socialising them with the key stakeholders
- Gap Analysis to detail the work required to go from Current state to Future state
- Translating the requirements into project deliverables
Responsibilities
- Previous experience of leading and managing a group of business analysts
- Must have good understanding of Rates, Credit and FX products and their life cycle events. Knowledge of Equities and Commodities will be beneficial
- Must have good understanding of Dodd Frank / EMIR Real Time Reporting rules and requirements
- Ideally, have good knowledge of X-Asset platforms and associated APIs (MarkitSERV - DSMatch, MarkitWire, Murex 3.x, SWIFT, Traiana etc)
- Proven track record in Business analysis for new business / product implementations within an Investment Bank, being able to make appropriate Risk / Value assessments and propose a range of realistic and appropriate remedies
- 5+ years of industry experience, in either a relevant Consultancy role or with Tier 1/2 Investment Banking environment
- Highly developed skills in producing detailed business requirements and use of presentation toolsets such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
- Maintains a sense of urgency and ability to prioritise / multi-task to deliver business value and meet project objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation including Senior Executives, Front Office and Infrastructure / Support individuals
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership over Project key deliverables and realisation of Business value
