Description:
Our client, a leading global Investment service provider has a challenging new position for an experienced Project Manager, with a focus on process reengineering initiatives. The appointed individual will join the Edinburgh based team, and be responsible for co-ordinating and directing global activities within our clients, across multiple waves of activity and phases. This will involve leading a project team to deliver a portfolio of complex projects, to drive the programme forward and to manage senior stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deploy industry standard tools and techniques to drive efficiency through a series of waves of BPR activity.
- Reduce the unit cost of processing both offshore and onshore to drive out sustainable cost reduction.
- Improve service quality, controls and reduce errors.
- Optimise capacity across locations.
- Deliver an environment for continuous operational improvement where ongoing process re-engineering is recognised as the cultural norm.
- Set direction and identify opportunities for improvement by challenging the status quo and taking a global view.
- Work across product and geographical structures to deliver globally consistent standard processes aligned to target operating models.
- Implement large and complex change programmes.
- Drive delivery across virtual teams by setting clear vision and direction and by establishing and managing programme plans which monitor activity, track progress and identify inter-dependencies and the critical path.

Core Requirements:
- Experience of Business Process re-Engineering within a complex multi-product and multi-region organisation.
- Proven track record of the application of Lean techniques including Work-Outs.
- Additional exposure to the use of Six Sigma and change management principles would be an advantage.
- Extensive experience of the delivery of significant and complex projects and programmes.
- Experience of managing large complex programmes of change (ideally centred on operating model design or BPR) across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines, deal with ambiguity/conflicts and manage projects within budget.
- Experience of leading migration projects both on and off shore.
- Understanding of the our clients business.
- Working with product owners to design and implement target state processes and operating models.
- Extensive experience of recruiting, managing, leading and developing a diverse team of strong individuals.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
