Project Manager – Change Management/PMO/Governance recruitment

Position Description:

The project manager will need to work across multiple silos, interacting with different parts of the business and working with global teams.

Key responsibilities will include ( but not restricted to ):
- Managing projects or programs through full project lifecycle.
- Managing adherence to project management standards.
- Communication with IT senior management and clients on project related issues, status and metrics.
- Collaborating on developing processes, controls and governance models and communicating with appropriate stakeholders.
- Creating or helping to create detailed project plans including effort estimates and resource requirements.
- Establishing and tracking project budgets.
- Management of risks, issues and general change controls.
- Facilitation of meetings with clients, project teams and sponsors.
- Meeting management and action tracking.
- Lead and develop a cohesive project team

Skills Required:

- Extensive experience of delivering large and/or complex technology-related projects/programs.
- Experience of working on enterprise wide change projects/programs.
- Experience of working on program and portfolio management.
- Ability to manage global projects and interact with individuals from a diverse cultural background.
- Proven ability to influence and lead project direction to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Detailed understanding of PLC and SDLC methodologies.
- Excellent hands-on experience of MS Project, MS Office, SharePoint and Project Management tools (e.g. HP PPM ).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a global team.
- Ability to operate/communicate horizontally and vertically across the various business units and IT.
- Self-starter able to execute with minimal supervision.
- Accurate, tenacious delivery focused.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to execute full range of PM activities from low level tasks (including minutes and actions etc) to high level advisory activities.
- Successful candidates must be technically credible and have the ability to manage projects independently.
- Ability to implement efficient project management processes across a large number of projects and groups.

Skills Desired:

- Project management experience in the financial services industry or in a top tier management consulting firm.
- MBA, or other technology and/or business related graduate education.
- Technical background in development or infrastructure.
- Formal project management qualifications (eg PMI).
- Experience of financial accounting.
- Business analysis skills.
