This is an Operations Transformation PMO position.
Under the direction of the Process Manager, provides leadership and direction for a set of Operations Transformation project(s) throughout the design and cross life cycle.
Directs the work of project team members.
Support the adoption of project methodology, tools, best practices and quality controls.
- Leads the end-to-end planning and management of a large complex or multiple transformation projects
- Oversees the schedule, resources, budget and risks of each project to ensure targets, budget, and milestones are met
- Under general supervision, plans, organizes and controls the activities of multiple, cross functional project teams.
- Provides direction and support in developing approaches/plans, executing assignments, resolving critical issues and resource contentions, and prioritizing efforts
- Anticipates and sets direction for the resolution of problems and works across the organisation for consensus
- Manages controls project scope, tracking, staffing, and budget
- Manages high-level business impact analysis involving projects to determine design and implementation approach, structure, scope, resource requirements, organization impact and priorities
- Manages overall project communications, risks, and issues resolution
- Manages all transformation reporting requirements for all assigned projects
- Serves as advocate and change agent to implement recommended solutions with all impacted business operations
- Serves as relationship manager with business leads and program peers; ensures service quality and customer satisfaction
- Determines synergies between projects and promotes collaboration of teams to maximize results
- Promotes development and implementation of project methodology, tools, best practices and controls to improve process and overall quality of service
- Bachelors Degree, MBA or PMP or equivalent preferred
- Proven financial services and/or project management experience
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage large, complex projects throughout the project life cycle and manage project teams on tight time frames
- Proven ability to manage through complex issues and realign priorities and deliverables to ensure milestones and targets are achieved
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to be influential change agent with businesses
- Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to work across global SSC business lines
- Excellent prioritisation management and resource management skills
- Expertise with project management methodology and tools and experienced with budget and cost tracking
- Strong PC skills, including office applications and project scheduling and flowcharting software
- Travel required
