Project Manager – Credit Cards recruitment
Position Description:
Hold overall responsibility and accountability for the management and delivery of banking application project for credit cards revamp in two core markets budgeted at ~$30m starting in Q4 2011. The incumbent PM will manage the entire project including non-IT areas (CFS, Ops, Finance, Legal, Audit, Risk, etc.).
Principal Role:
•Establish project organization and governance, project plans, resources, budgets and time-frames, and assign tasks
•Monitor, control and report on project progress, costs, issues and risk
•Manage vendor relationship and deliverables
•Supervise assigned resources, provide technical advice and guidance, schedule assignments and training for development, prepare performance appraisals
•Coordinate plans and activities with business user and technology teams
•Evaluate and recommend purchases of software packages, hardware and service vendors where appropriate
•Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
•Plan for and oversee user process mapping, preparation of user documentation, training and support in new/modified applications.
Domain Knowledge:
•In-depth consumer banking domain knowledge, especially Credit Cards business domain is essential
•An understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse
•Experience in implementations in one or more of the following areas
BESIDES credit cards system:
oCredit Processing/Central Liability/Credit Risk applications
oCore banking applications (customer information, deposits, loans, wealth management, general ledger, reconciliation)
Qualifications/Experience
•Tertiary education required
•Certification or formal training in project management is required
•At least 12-15 years as Project Manager in Information Technology, a substantial part of which are in a financial organization
•It is a requirement for the candidate to have demonstrated success in managing sizeable projects (cost exceeding S$20 million) involving system conversion with end-to-end delivery responsibility
•Work experience in any Banking Operations department is an advantage
•Regional work experience (ie: China, Indonesia)
